High temperature non-melt grease is a non-soap clay based product usually offered in NLGI 2 consistency. It is manufacture involves the use of specialized equipment for homogenizing the clay to achieve maximum dispersion and delamination of the clay platelets. The base oil viscosity in this product is to the tune of 420 to 460 cSt @ 40°C.
This grease is fortified with MOLY for superior protection during shock and variable loads, usually under slow speed conditions.
This grease has very good load carrying capacity, surface adhesion and offers good resistance to wear, rusting and oxidation and shear.
It is excellent for applications wherein operating temperatures of 180°C are routinely witnessed and has a melting point in excess of 300°C
Applications:
- Severe operating conditions experiencing extreme temperatures over extended periods of time.
- Heavily loaded sliding applications
- Mining & quarrying equipment
- Construction
- Industrial machinery used in steel plants
Main Benefits:
- Very good for low speed applications experiencing high temperatures
- Good resistance to shear
- Superior resistance to water washout
- Good retention of structure under storage and also under extreme
operating conditions.
